Mrs. Feng Xue, native Chinese, is Keats School’ president since 2004. She is an active member of the International Society for Chinese Language Teaching. In 2004, Mrs. Xue invested to found the Keats School, together with Ms. Zier Liu. As a team leader, Mrs. Xue connects each Keats teacher with her modesty, diligence and charisma, leading the teachers to continuously innovate teaching system to provide our students the best learning experience. Mrs. Xue loves Chinese traditional culture, and is good at Chinese calligraphy, Chinese seal cutting, Chinese style writing, and Chinese cooking.
Ms. Zier Liu, vice president in general, founded Keats School together with Mrs. Feng Xue in 2004 and has been working at Keats since 2004. Ms. Liu is a member of Chinese Language Association of Secondary-Elementary Schools (CLASS) and Chinese Language Teachers Association (CLTA) in the United States. Devoted to community services, Ms. Liu started and directed the “Sunflower Project” in 2007 to collect books for disadvantaged children in remote parts of Yunnan Province. Ms. Liu was honored as "Remarkable Personage of Education in Yunnan" by the director-general Mr. Chongmin Luo from Provincial Education Department in 2010 for the success and social impact of the “Sunflower Project.” Ms. Liu is a candidate of Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She is also a part-time Chinese traditional musical instrument (Guzheng) instructor.
Ms. Qiuyan Huang, vice president in teaching quality, has been working at Keats School since 2008, mainly in charge of student life and study in Keats School. She is the author of “Essential Chinese” for learning Mandarin. Ms. Huang graduated from Yunnan Nationalities University in 2008, with a Bachelor Degree of Art in English. Ms. Huang passed TEM-8(the hardest English exam for English Major) early in her college studies. In 2008, Ms. Huang received professional training in Teaching Chinese as a Second Language from Beijing Language and Culture University. Three years of teaching Chinese at Keats brings Ms. Huang unlimited treasure, which makes her not only an excellent teacher, but also a leading pioneer in the research of Chinese language education.
Ms. Lan Zhu, teaching supervisor of Keats School, graduated from Yunnan Normal University with a master degree of journalism. Ms. Zhu has been working at Keats since 2007. After 4 years of teaching experience at Keats, Ms. Zhu successfully completed a training course at Beijing Language University in teaching Chinese as a second language in January 2011. She is primarily in charge of all aspects about teaching quality, such as feedback from students, teaching plans written by teachers, training for new teachers, topics and quality of the teaching conferences. Responsible and creative, Ms. Zhu, as an academic advisor, always patiently gives learning suggestions to students, to help the students learn Chinese quickly and efficiently. Having read hundreds of books about Chinese culture and history, Ms. Zhu is particularly interested in Confucianism of ‘The unity of knowledge and practice.’
Mr. Zhihang Yu is the teaching supervisor of Keats School, with 5 years of teaching experience. Mr. Yu graduated from Beijing Language and Culture University with a degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. He has worked in Thailand as a Chinese teacher for half a year. He loves working at Keats and is good at creating new learning methods and activities to make Chinese learning easy and fun. With years of research in HSK, Mr. Yu has helped many students pass the HSK successfully. Mr. Yu is also responsible for organizing students’ cultural activities. He makes every effort to help students learn the most Chinese in the shortest possible time, at the same time explore local culture while in Kunming.
Ms. Xiaoli Chen, from Yunnan Province, is a member of Teaching Quality Control Team at Keats. She graduated from Yunnan University, with a Bachelor Degree of Art in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. Ms. Chen has been teaching Chinese since 2006 and has more than 2 years of teaching experience at Keats School. Knowledgeable and patient, Ms. Chen is highly adaptive to student’s learning requirements. She keeps impresses her students with not only her experienced ways of teaching, but also her personalities, humorous but rigorous. She regularly organizes academic meetings for members of Teaching Quality Control Team at Keats.

Keats School believes that the teaching quality is the fundamental element of being a successful Chinese language school. Therefore, the Teaching Quality Control Team is responsible for checking teacher‘s daily syllabus and lesson plan, organizing teaching conference every two weeks, training new teachers, and collecting students‘ feedback forms every week to make improvements in time. In addition, members of TQCT gather together every week and write reports to analyze the strength and weakness in teaching of the whole week.

Our teachers, with a strong sense of responsibility, are evaluated by students and their supervisor every week. The feedback is used to help the teachers improve the Chinese instruction. In order to have a perfect Mandarin course and achieve an excellent result, you can tell us your real feeling about the lessons by filling the evaluation form, and we will make changes in your class based on your requirements to attain a better result. Keats teachers have teaching conference every two weeks to communicate new methods of teaching and students‘ feedback.
