Keats School offers college/university students various summer learning adventure programs, which expose students to the profound Chinese language and Chinese culture.This program helps students develop useful skills in communication and leadership when students meet different people with different cultural backgrounds and volunteer at local communities. In a 6-week’s time, you will not only be able to use Chinese in your daily life, but also have a deep understanding of Chinese culture.

Summer in China Courses:

a) Chinese language class: 100 hours. According to different levels of Chinese.

b) Chinese Culture Lessons: 40 hours. 
    Chinese Etiquette - 4 hours (including daily greetings and introductions, visiting, dining manners and marriage culture).
    Chinese Tea Ceremony – 4 hours (including tea tasting, tea recognizing and tea making). Chinese Taiji – 10 hours (a special style of Taiji)
    Chinese Calligraphy – 10 hours (including calligraphy practice and 2 framed works)
    Chinese Cooking – 4 hours (to learn 4 Chinese dishes)
    Chinese chess and Mahjong – 6 hours
    Paper cutting – 2 hours (learn how to cut a traditional Chinese character ‘囍’)

c) Volunteer work: 60 hours. Teach English in migrant schools or volunteer in orphanages.

Recommendation letters are provided to all participants if required.
