The Chinese painting has experienced a long history from the beginning, development to mature age. Some of the foreigners who learn Chinese in China may be told that the origin of Chinese painting was in the Neolithic Period. The silk painting is a kind of decoration hanging on the wall. When you come to study Chinese in China, you should know it originated in the Warring States. The most preventative works are the paintings on silk cloth unearthed in Changsha of Hunan province, Meinv Longfeng Painting and Renwu Yulong Painting. The characteristic of traditional national feature was formed in the period of these two paintings. During the period when you study Mandarin in China, you may know the customs of elaborate funeral was famous in Han Dynasty, which was reflected in the silk painting of that period.
